Want to hear from you!

Working on a couple new posts but I was thinking, I have been sharing my small batch brewing ways for a few years. Well now I want to hear from you. Are you brewing in a small space? How small? What is your brewing setup? Comment below and if you have blog put in the link so I can share it.

Stay tuned for more.

  1. I brew in 2 spaces – one in the city, one in the country (200km north of Toronto). I’m pretty basic. I do 6-7L brews which means I fill up an 11L carboy for my initial strike water and use 20 – 25 L pots to boil. That 11L carboy is my fermentor. I no longer do ‘in the bag’ – instead I pour my grains right in and filter them out through a conical filter which is something like sparging except I don’t need to sparge. I usually hit all my expected beersmith numbers. You can get more of a sense from my blog. Its a lot more than beer – in fact I rarely feature beer on it as I do not think I have anything of great significance to add to the brewing dialog. My brew blogs are here https://homecookexplorer.wordpress.com/2018/10/11/xbeeriment-with-sourdough-yeast/ and here https://homecookexplorer.wordpress.com/2017/09/12/my-progress-with-beer/

    • Thanks for checking out my blog and I’ll have to check out yours as well. Everyone has different methods and that flexibility is the great thing about this hobby. Always great to hear about new methods.
